MDi Pakistan and The City School compete in table tennis - March 13, 2010

Students and staff of Management Development Institute (MDi Pakistan) arranged a table tennis competition with The City School on March 13, 2010. The event was intended to promote a stronger relationship between the two institutions, and to provide a healthy platform for competition between students.

Blistering performances were witnessed from both sides that kept spectators entertained throughout the duration of the competition. Six players from both sides went head on to compete for the MDi table tennis trophy, the event being won by Haseeb Khan of The City School. Haseeb’s impenetrable defense earned him the title, as he went on a winning streak by exhibiting unmatched patience and balance as other players relied more on power and stroke play.

There was time to socialize after the event as students from both sides exchanged dialogue over lunch that was arranged by MDi students. Live music added to the overall ambience. Mr. Nauman Jan, Headmaster – The City School A’ Level section and Mr. Asad Zaidi, Program Director – MDi Pakistan, expressed much desire to hold further such events that promote healthy competition and encourage strong relationships to foster between institutions.

The third table tennis competition is scheduled for S2 2010 (July - November)
