It gives us great pleasure to announce that Ms. Kanza Zia has been selected by USQ faculty and staff as the most deserving candidate for the USQ International Partner Prize for 2009. She has also been awarded a second USQ Dean’s Award for her outstanding performance in S3 2009.

The international partner prize, considered as one of USQ’s most prestigious awards, is conferred once each year to only eight out of eight thousand USQ students from around the world. The award is independent of courses being undertaken, and depends purely on students’ academic performance and contributions to society.

Kanza currently has a GPA of 6.62/7.00 with 5 HDs and 3 As. In addition to her remarkable academic performance, she is also an active social worker helping women who suffer hardships in rural areas.

This is the second year in a row that the prize has come to Pakistan. Previously, it was awarded to Ms. Kateryna Navyzynska who is currently pursuing the USQ MBA program at MDi. MDi wishes to thank students like Kanza and Kateryna who, through their hard work, allow our institutional efforts to be recognized by our offshore academic partners, which eventually articulate into better opportunities for our students.

It is hoped that Kanza’s achievement will inspire MDi students to work hard and make it three in a row for the institution.
