MDi Graduation and Award Distribution Ceremony – May 29, 2010


Graduates and award winning students of the University of Southern Queensland BBA program were honoured on May 29, 2010 at a ceremony arranged by MDi Pakistan. The event was chaired by Mr. Khawar Ansari who leads the IFC/World Bank Corporate Governance Program in Pakistan.

Ms. Nishwa Khalil received the prestigious
USQ Dean's Award

 

This was the first time that a Pakistan based institution had managed to secure every award that USQ Australia had made available to its students worldwide. MDi students secured 3 USQ Dean’s Awards, The USQ International Partner Scholarship Prize which is awarded to 4 out of 8,000 students worldwide, and the Faculty of Business Gold Medal for the best student worldwide. Ms. Mehak Zia, Ms. Kanza Zia and Ms. Nishwa Khalil received the prestigious Dean’s Award for their outstanding academic performances.

Ms. Kanza Zia secured the International Partner Scholarship prize and became the second MDi student to achieve this remarkable feat, whereas Ms. Kateryna Navyzynska secured the USQ Faculty of Business Gold Medal for the best student worldwide. Ms. Kateryna had also previously won the International Partner Scholarship Prize in 2009.

The event was significant as it reflected positively on the quality of talent available in Pakistan. MDi staff and faculty were praised by parents and students alike for their commitment and dedication to academics, which enabled the institution and the students to secure all major USQ awards worldwide.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Khawar Ansari stressed upon the importance of education and the role of Pakistan’s talented students in shaping the destiny of the country. He congratulated the graduates and award winners and praised the contributions of institutions such as MDi that continue to exhibit a firm commitment to academics and the professional development of our youth. The ceremony concluded on a resolve that students would continue to strive hard and endeavour to make meaningful contributions to Pakistan.

Faculty of Business Gold Medal for her outstanding performance on the USQ BBA Program

Ms. Kateryna Navyzynska has been selected by USQ faculty and staff as the recipent of the coveted USQ Faculty of Business Gold Medal for her outstanding academic performance on the USQ BBA program. She has also been awarded the USQ Dean’s Award and the USQ International Partner Scholarship prize that is awarded to 4 out of 8,000 students worldwide. Kateryna has been a star performer at MDi Pakistan. She was awarded the gold medal at the MDi Graduation and Award Distribution Ceremony where she thanked her family, teachers, staff and fellow students for their support.
